The Tamron SP AF28-75/2.8 XR Di LD Not much doubt that both the Tamron 28-75/2/8 and the Canon 50/1.8 are better for digital and was the easiet way to tell the lenses apart in pictures. I've been impressed with my Tamron 28-75, I never use the 35/2 anymore. The Tamron produced the best pictures consistantly by far. . Not much doubt that both the Tamron 28-75/2/8 and the Canon 50/1.8 are better The Tamron 28-75/2.8 does have a very slight edge in sharpness I think.
